What is True Sidereal Astrology

For me, these words have meaning. I believe there is a relationship between the heavens and our experiences here on Earth. Throughout history, our ancestors looked to the skies, observing the movements of celestial bodies, interpreting omens, and seeking meaning in the patterns above them.

I believe that if we are going to look to the heavens for insight, we should begin by looking at what is actually there.

This is why I practice True Sidereal Astrology rather than the more commonly used Western Tropical Astrology.

Western Tropical Astrology uses twelve equally divided zodiac signs anchored to the seasons, rather than the actual positions and unequal boundaries of the astronomical constellations. Because of this, the planetary placements described in a Tropical chart can be very different from where those planets were actually positioned in the sky at the time of someone's birth.

And here's where I take issue.

When someone is told that their Sun is in Aries, their Moon is in Pisces, or Saturn is in a particular sign, how many people realize those statements may not describe the constellations those celestial bodies actually occupied?

Most people aren't taught that distinction. They hear the names of the constellations and understandably assume those are the positions being described.

True Sidereal Astrology brings the astronomical sky back into the practice of astrology. It recognizes the unequal sizes of the constellations, includes Ophiuchus, and considers the actual celestial positions rather than relying on twelve equal seasonal divisions.

But my connection to the heavens goes beyond astronomical calculations and astrological interpretations. It is deeply personal, shaped by my experiences, my spiritual beliefs, and even the history of my own family.

Long after I had begun exploring True Sidereal Astrology, I discovered that my ancestral lineage includes Nathaniel Ames, whose eighteenth-century almanacs drew upon astronomical calculations and observations of the heavens. Discovering this connection, alongside the spiritual traditions and love of divination woven through other branches of my family, brought a profound sense of coming full circle.

I believe there is something deeply meaningful in there. Perhaps some of our passions are not simply discovered but rediscovered, carried through generations in ways we have yet to fully understand.

For me, bringing astronomy and astrology back together feels like honoring both the heavens above and the generations who came before me.

I still interpret the symbolism, characteristics, patterns, and possibilities associated with astrological placements. I believe in As Above, So Below, and I believe that our perspectives, intentions, and choices play a role in the realities we experience.

But I do not believe an astrological chart should ever become a fixed identity or a declaration of someone's destiny.

This is my interpretation of astrology, informed by my beliefs, experiences, and studies. I encourage you to explore other astrologers and their interpretations, question what you're told, and decide for yourself what resonates and what does not.

The 2027 True Sidereal Astrology & Tarot Planner

For years, my passion for True Sidereal Astrology has been rooted in understanding the heavens as they actually appear in our skies. Rather than simply studying astrology, I wanted to create something that would allow others to incorporate this celestial knowledge into their everyday lives.

Now, in my second year of creating the True Sidereal Astrology & Tarot Planner, I'm continuing that journey by bringing the movements of the heavens directly into your hands.

This isn't simply a calendar. It's a 299-page companion for your astrological studies, Tarot practice, spiritual exploration, creativity, and everyday life.

Throughout the planner, you'll discover planetary movements based on True Sidereal Astrology, along with New Moon and Full Moon charts to help you explore the changing celestial landscape throughout the year.

Each New Moon and Full Moon also includes a specially designed Tarot spread, inviting you to reflect on the energies, themes, and possibilities of each lunar cycle through your own cards and interpretations.

But our lives are about so much more than astrology alone!

I've woven together practical planning tools and spiritual inspiration to create something that can accompany you throughout the entire year.

Because the timing of celestial events matters, I've created five different editions of the planner to accommodate different time zones:

US Eastern • US Central • US Mountain • US Pacific • United Kingdom (GMT/BST)

Each edition is designed to make following the astrological movements and lunar events throughout the year more convenient for those living within its designated time zone.

My hope is that this planner becomes something more than a place to write down appointments and remember important dates.

I want it to become a personal companion. A place where you can explore the heavens, deepen your relationship with Tarot, celebrate the changing seasons, set meaningful goals, reflect on your experiences, and perhaps even discover something new about yourself along the way.

Whether you're just beginning your astrological journey or have been studying the stars for years, these pages are yours to explore, personalize, color, and make entirely your own.

299 pages. Twelve months. Countless opportunities for discovery.

All inspired by the celestial movements of the sky itself.

Your year. Your journey. Your connection to the cosmos.
